I was at the YC Renuion Dinner at Aloy’s Place yesterday after Tee Jay’s Go Green Day, and going to Settlers with some of the councillors to play games. It was a great day of reception making, game playing, name seraching, and fellowship.
I actually went in early. Helped with kitchen work, preparing for the yusheng.
The day proceeded with more reception-like food (which at that point gave me a horror–what a repeat of morning’s catering), fun, talking to friends- and ended with games: the pek chek hong pao game, superman spiderman xmen wonderwomen batman game (which I must admit is a sorethroat-causer) and polar bear with a twist.
Meanwhile, Grace prepared an invitation card to our YC chalet: Back to Childhood. And behind it, was attached a packet of those childhood bubbles tube with a straw to accompany it.
Everyone started blowing. Including me, who actually wanted to keep it intact so that I can remember it’s full form.
How amazingly, people present there, from 17-35 (youth category) are playing with those bubbles with such interest in their eyes, I swear.
Perhaps, it’s the fact that it never really bursts.
It’s almost like, touching tangibles dreams.
Lest we accidentally hit it a little too hard, or, by trying to make it bigger by making a *cluck* on its surface and blowing in more air.
How funny.
It progressed to Gordon and Jason teasing Dawn. Blowing her bubble away with scary spurts of air from their mouths. And she, and other people on her side, chasing the bubble.
