Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what’s in her mind
Each time I think I’m close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers…

Slipping through my fingers all the time

Schoolbag in hand she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile…

Here I am just back from catching Mamma-mia with Joel at ulu Downtown East. The songs are stuck in my head again – and this time round, (I watched the musical previously) I can actually see the lyrics.

This particular song struck me. [During this clip Mammamia , Listen to the full song - worth it]

I think – its beautiful.

Last night when I returned home late, I saw my luggage packed.

She packed my luggage for me, repacked – and made sure everything was inside.

Tonight when I returned home even later, I saw my room with the aircon on, prepared for me.

And when I switched on the lights – I saw my mother tucked in my covers with her eye mask – waiting up.

“Keep the P-plate lah – so don’t keep it in the car.”

I notice everytime I want to drive – you go out earlier to put the P-plate for me.

Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers

I sit and admire the beauty of each small act – funny I cant bring myself to react there and then.

How?

very profound… thoughts worth pondering.
I know that feeling. I guess in the same small ways she shows her love, you can do the same in your small acts of love!
