Singapore Afternoon at the Chaplaincy November 17, 2008
Posted by stephspeaks in Days.trackback
Today the whole gang of us woke up to cook up a storm for the chaplaincy – you see, here we stay back after mass to enjoy a meal together =) So us Singaporeans, under the inspiration and guidance of Nic – did a curry, cabbage with black fungus and dried prawn and veggie beehoon of Singaporean love. =)
It was great fun waking up fairly early – and having yummy pancakes and bagels with Marc and Oliver – and just cutting cabbages and putting them in “canteen bags” – i.e. really huge bags we found (hehehe @ marc) and just cooking till our shirts were soaked with the chinese cabbage dish smell.
We carried all our food over – most of us did not really attend mass which was quite sad – but none the less a really meaningful day. =) It’s the start of week of guided prayer! Quite excited! =)
In all the hustle and bustle – there’s always One that stays with us every step of the way.
(Alas, the inspiration for this post: I was looking through my pictures and found this meaningful shot I took whilst waking back home from the bus stop at Old Airport. It’s a sign post and its a humble shot that reminds me of His presence at every turn we take. )

Hey Steph! Are you back yet? This picture made me wonder if i’d missed your return.
I’m still in Warwick!!
Put the pic up cos’ I was browsing through it in my picture folders
Oh, when’re you coming back? Upon seeing that picture i thought you came back already, and i didn’t know that you did.
