The only thing that I feel inspired enough to blog on a Singapore Saturday. November 22, 2008

Greetings from Sunny Singapore =)
So many things I would like to blog down and share – but here’s the only thing that’s ringing in my head. In response to stimulus a many.
Here’s to you, and you, and you and you and You – the song that’s going to be played at the offertory tomorrow. I first heard it at Greg and Min’s – sang so beautifully by Pris and Grace! (Congrats on your one year Greg and Min! =) )
How beautiful the hands that served
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful the feet that walked
the long dusty roads
and the hills to the cross.
How beautiful,
how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
How beautiful the heart that bled
that took all my sin
and bore it instead.
How beautiful the tender eyes
that chose to forgive
and never despise.
How beautiful,
how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
And as He laid down His life
we offer this sacrifice
that we will live just as He died:
willing to pay the price,
willing to pay the price.
How beautiful the radiant Bride
who waits for her Groom
with His light in her eyes.
How beautiful when humble hearts give
the fruit of pure lives
so that others may live.
How beautiful,
how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
How beautiful the feet that bring
the sound of good news
and the love of the King.
How beautifull the hands that serve
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful,
how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
To you – you’re getting married! Get ready for the next chapter of your life – amidst the noise and clanging of each wedding preparation process – never forget the meaning of it all – Love.
To you – I pray you would understand how I feel – and how truly beautiful the body of Christ is.
To you – The cross you carry is so heavy – like mine, like everyone else, let Him carry too. You’re never alone in any thing.
To you – Feel the awe I feel. “ with His light in her eyes.”
To You – You’re my Everything.
As I enter the second half of my Saturday – I enter the hair-combing part of it. Relatives are downstairs – eating and busking in super-red atmosphere – while I hurriedly blog down how beautiful this song is – and how I anticipate your new chapter with you.
How beautiful indeed.
Take time to feel its meaning amidst the conversations, combing and ceremonies.
As I wear my white heels(yes I got heels that totally bowled me over) just to try and see if it matches, as I practice the second reading for tomorrow, as I snap away more recognisable family memories, I take this moment to sit and breathe in this magic.
How beautiful.
