Music

I am absolutely miffed at WordPress cos’ it cannot host Imeem – though its possible through some scary techie method which I will nonetheless explore! Meanwhile – I shall continue my journalling of thoughts accompanied with Music, because somehow, music fills in the inadequacies of using words to fully explain how I feel. Either that, it’s just the ear bug of the day.

23rd Jan: The Fray! -How to Save a Life – You Found Me (thanks to Jerrick’s inspiration) – All at Once.

One of my favorites. I love their tunes, his voice and the lyrics! hear hear.

Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.

Poetry!

3rd Dec: You give me something By James Morrison

You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I’m willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart

22nd Nov: How Beautiful Listen! By Twila Paris

So apt as a wedding song – and now, understanding TOB (a little more), the Bride and Groom lyric makes so much so much sense.

How beautiful.

6th Nov: INGRID MICHAELSON TIME!

Be okay – I love this song and beat! Be OK

I just want to be ok, be ok, be ok
I just want to be ok today
I just want to be ok, be ok, be ok
I just want to be ok today

Winter Song with Sara Bareilles – this song is really soothing and beautiful. Winter Song

I still believe in summer days.
The seasons always change
and life will find a way.

26th October: Tim Hughes – Be My Everything – Listen!

Truly a reminder of how present He is in our life.

24th October: Corrinne May’s the Answer – Go myspace and scroll her music – Click the Answer

It is an amazing song – how true. The soothing tunes and lovely lyrics reminds me to start my day with prayer.

Give me strength when I am weary
Give me hope when I can’t see
Through the crosses I must carry
Lord, bind my heart to thee

27th September: You and I – Ingrid and Jason Mraz! =)))

Oh let’s get rich and buy our parents a house in the South of France

Let’s get rich and get everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance

Let’s get rich and build a house on a mountain and make everybody look like ants

From way up there – you and I, you and I.

17th September: Corrinne May’s If You Didn’t Love Me

If I could have the world and all that money could buy
And I could travel far beyond the moon and the sky
If they gave me golden wings,
well I still couldn’t fly
without you, nothing would matter

13th September: Duffy Alert! Duffy’s Mercy and Rockferry and alas, Warwick Avenue.

This is in sync with the titenglong outing with Melly and Sammy! Duffy was on Mel’s car – so we ended up singing to it. Mercy was the song we were grooving to in the car as the car drove to the base of Dakota Crescent – and I, whisked home with my duckie lantern in my hand. It was really surreal as Warwick Avenue played – no, I am not going there – but just hearing the lyrics “meet me at the entrance of the tube” and the sad symphonies in the song – just made me realise how near the beginning of an end is: 9 days.

When I get to Warwick.

9th September: God Help the Outcasts (Hunchback of Notre Dame)

While on my mad search for feel good Disney songs- I remembered this song from a YC prayer meet! It was really really meaningful and I’m glad I re-discovered this song as a reminder! Going down in my music journal of thoughts.

5th – 9th September:A Whole New World and Circle of Life! and Go the Distance and A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes and Kiss The Girl and He Lives In You and and I won’t say of course, Hakuna Matata !

I love DISNEY! I seriously want to go Disney World again. Contrary to popular belief, I think Disney gets more and more suitable as one ages. Hoho! I shan’t bring in the Simulacrum tingtongs on Disney. Anyhoos – these songs make me feel sooooo happy! =) I miss the flat old school cartoons – unlike the HSM thinggs now. What is our world coming to =(

1st Sept 08: Sitting, Waiting, Wishing by Jack Johnson – Awesome video!

Love the video. Go see! It parallels the Scientist – by Coldplay, but yet – the Scientist remains in its own league. It tells a story and at that, a pretty convincing and sad one. This Jack Johnson one is great at highlighting the flow in video transition between he and his band mates! Super nice – perhaps also the frustration he faces while waiting for love – if he could only rewind.

31st Aug 08: Hope by Jack Johnson – Listen!

I love the tune! Played it for over 2 hours on my computer – it’s that relaxing.
